The timeless classic window shutter with aesthetic frame design

This model sets new standards, especially in the sliding bi-fold shutter sector. The desire to have a narrower more modern frame design could be fulfilled to perfection with this new model. Customer requests for a new innovative solar protection solution was one of the catalysts for a new development in the house of AST. Using the existing model Type A, the frame was reduced to a minimum. Nonetheless the frame design fulfils all prerequisites for use in the sliding shutter or sliding bi-fold shutter sector. Irrespective of whether for suspension bracket fitting, flush pull, or lock designs, the new Model A40 provides the same advantages as the standard Model A design and all with the typical AST features.

As sliding shutter or sliding bi-fold shutter, the model blends into the overall appearance of a traditional locality, but is equally suitable for use on modern architecture. With this model, the range is once again extended by an additional product, which further widens the choice of options for your property.

The model is constructed with an all-round high-quality 40 x 33 mm extruded aluminium profile frame. As for the A model, the lamellae are attached to the frame before coating. This elegant design enables the shutter to be completely coated with absolutely no visible bare patches. This later coating process also helps to achieve the requested strength of this model.

The dimensions of the lamellae are 50 x 10 mm, same as for the standard model. Through the combination with the narrow design of the frame however, a modern appearance is achieved which emphasises the lamellae. Production is made to measure - normal procedure at AST.
