Special models with elliptical or Z-Section lamellae

Customised solar protection in aluminium

Our customer's desire to have an exceptional and customised style of facade, was the inspiration for the development of these new models in the house of AST. Initially designed for use in larger projects, these models are now available in our standard range as well. These special models complete the range of sliding shutters and extend your choice as a customer, by two additional special products.

Both models consist of a high-quality 70 x 6mm thick aluminium frame. A 70 x 23 mm extruded profile frame is incorporated top and bottom, to facilitate optimum fitting of suspension brackets and slide rails. To obtain the great rigidity of this model, the lamellae are screwed to the sides of the flat aluminium frame before coating. This elegant design enables the shutter to be completely coated with absolutely no visible bare patches.

Either 70 x 15 mm elliptical lamellae or 58 x 54 mm Z-section lamellae are available. On request the type of adjustment of the lamellae can be chosen by the customer, thereby providing additional design possibilities. It is therefore possible to define the incidence of light using the alignment of the lamellae. Production is made to measure - normal procedure at AST.

Predominantly due to the robust screw fastening of the lamellae, extremely wide shutters can be achieved without the necessity for vertical struts or mullions. Consequently these sliding shutters represent the perfect choice for an accomplished facade design.

Our extensive colour range is of course available for these models too. The quantities of powders stocked means that quick processing is guaranteed here as well.

As for all other models, extensive pre-fitting of sliding hardware is also possible in this case. A significant simplification of work for you and your fitters on site, particularly where large-sized units are concerned.
