PROJECT OF THE MONTH
During the course of completing this order, the new model variant A40 was able to be used for one of its first projects. This variant is perfectly able to be utilized for all sizes of project and as a result of its narrow frame, provides the finishing touch for the aesthetics of this type. The model A is a typical hinged shutter, but is frequently used as a sliding and bi-fold sliding shutter. This was also the wish of the builder of this single-family home. The model was to blend with the modern architecture, whilst at the same time providing adequate solar protection. In addition to the tried and tested 71 mm x 33 mm frame, it is now possible to supply this model with a 40 mm x 33 mm sized frame. The visible width is now just 40mm. The design of this model is identical to that of the 71 mm frame. With the narrow frame construction, the model acquires a completely new appearance, which is set off exceptionally well in the "sliding shutter" application envisaged. Furthermore, the design of the model A shutter elements provides optimal privacy from without, keeps heat and solar radiation from entering, yet still allows a certain amount of light into the interior. After selection of the model, the hardware system top and bottom was also designated. For this purpose the slide rail was mounted on brackets, with attachment and adjustment being provided by the simple fitting system. Using the AST facing, the complete top hardware system could be perfectly concealed. By this means, the following criteria were integrated into the overall design:
A significant advantage of the hardware fitting method chosen, are the simple alignment and adjustment of the mounting brackets and slide rail. This combination allows positioning in all directions, to achieve optimum adaptation to local conditions. Furthermore, due to the continuous slide rail at the bottom, guiding of the shutter elements is perfected. Consequently, on-site installation by the customer is simplified and can be completed in the shortest possible time.
