COMPANY PROFILEAST – Alu-System-Technik GmbH – manufactures shading systems made from aluminium and chromium steel at its head office in Nenzing in Vorarlberg and at other manufacturing sites in Germany. Since the company was established in 1996, AST has developed innovative products time and time again and prepared them for the market: like the “SystemFix” and “JustierFix” hardware systems and the new motorised sliding bi-fold shutters. The list of customers is extensive: the Marriot Hotel in Vienna, the “Wohnen in St. Gereon” housing complex in Cologne and the Marcadet apartment building in Paris are equipped with AST shutters. In 2009 AST manufactured about 80,000 shutters. With turnover of some 15 million Euros in 2009, AST is the number 2 window shutter company in Europe. Having its own logistics with a vehicle fleet means that AST has extremely short product delivery times.
